If you are a student in need, all you need is to fill in the following form and we will do the needful.

We would like you to enable a suitable learning package once you receive the data donation.

There are no commitments at all. What we want is to run a CSR project where we could contribute to inclusive and equitable quality education, We believe that education will lead to sustainable development.

CSR & SDG

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, charity and personal donations can all focus on socio-economic development in general. There is satisfaction in giving. The greatest form of giving back to the society is create opportunities.

We at Empower believe that the sustainable development goals define by the united nations is a great framework that we can base CSR projects, charity projects and personal charity donations. There are 17 goals defined in the sustainable development model. Even if we can focus on few of them, the top five for example, we can make a great contribution to the society.

The top five goals are as follows

  • End poverty in all its forms everywhere
  • End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture
  • Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
  • Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
  • Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

Eliminate Poverty

No Poverty

What can we do to help eliminate poverty? The way people think, the poverty thinking model, leads to generational poverty. If we are to help people get over poverty, we need to help them think their way out of poverty thinking into rich thinking. CSR projects need to be designed to help get rid of generational poverty thinking.

“Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth…these are one and the same fight.”   — Ban Ki-moon

We also need to help people to break the vicious cycle of debt, learn how to save something from the current income and then learn how to invest the savings to optimize resources around them. Projects that help improve financial literacy of people, provide opportunities to gain access to tools and financial institutions that help with financial literacy is critical. We can also inspire people on how to engage better with the economic and social environment.

People below the poverty line income are looking for inspiration. They are filled with potential to be able to overcome extreme poverty. If we can help them leverage their potential, and help them gain access to the marketplaces, customers, and create opportunities to engage with economic agents, they will be able to grow out of poverty. Empower can help you design, plan, execute and monitor poverty elimination projects for you as part of your CSR efforts.

End Hunger

No Hunger

Ending hunger is possible. What is needed is to arrange projects such as home gardening with the limited spaces. People have the will to do that, what we need is to provide them with know-how, simple resources and more importantly a monitoring mechanism to help them keep going.

Another model we can use to end hunger is to build delivery chains to get food wasted to the needy. We have lots of food, vegetables, fruits that gets wasted due to running out of shelf life or not being able to sell on time. A good CSR project would be to identify such scenarios in a location and establish models within communities for effective distributions among communities.  can lead to the generation of some percentage of organic food.

The sharing and giving culture can encourage the sharing of the excess they have from the home productions. Technology can facilitate the better sharing between parties that produce and who have a surplus. Projects facilitating such sharing models would be great CSR projects.

Combined with focus to end poverty, food does not have to be given free all the time. We can establish simple give and take models withing communities. Sharing can be developed to a mutual sharing model to help share whatever you have in excess. It could be a system of exchange such as barter. Eventually, we need to empower communities to be able to pay for their food. Empower can help you identify community needs, resources they have and design projects to help end poverty that fits community needs.

Ensure Health

Health is Wealth

Health is wealth. It is the greatest form of wealth. There are many indigenous methods all around the world that are simple yet serve to boost immunity. Education on simple health practices, such as washing hands could provide great results. Education on prevention of diseases and boosting immunity is critical.

Possible CSR projects in the space of health include

  • Projects focused on identifying methods, foods and medicines that enhance immunity and projects that educate communities on those
  • Projects focused on enhancing physical health though healthy living such as exercises, engaging in physical sports and simple techniques to stay fit
  • Projects focused on mental health, such as taking care of your mind, work life harmony, how to stress less and practicing mindfulness
  • Projects focused on noncommunicable diseases on causes, prevention, and control

Empower can help your CSR projects that are focused on ensuring health though coordination of the projects within the communities, government entities, research into what fits the best in various communities, planning and execution.

Education for All

We at Empower can help both with projects focused on ensuring quality education and conducting various education programs. Formal as well as informal education projects are necessary to help uplift the socio-economic development. With the advent of the new normal, we need to focus on online and offline education to help keep the momentum going with education.

Encouraging and providing basic resources to all children to complete basic education is essential. There are many opportunities with the new normal that we can run effective CSR projects to help achieve sustainable development with online and offline models combining formal and informal models.

Making leaning resources available in an accessible manner is a challenge. We need to work on making internet accessible for all children for education.

We also need to empower teachers to help provide their services. The human touch in education cannot be replaced with online methods.

Education also needs to focus on enabling sustainable development. Some factors that need to be instilled with quality education focused on sustainable development include

  • sustainable lifestyles
  • human rights
  • gender equality
  • promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence
  • global citizenship
  • appreciation of cultural diversity

Empower can help you with CSR project designs that incorporate these factors into the projects you plan to design to help create sustainable development though education.

Gender Equality

Gender Equality

Women and girls are a comer stone of the society. We need to create an environment that eliminate discrimination, violence and exploitation of women and girls everywhere. We need to educate and empower the society and communities to be able to embrace and respect diversity.

Creation of an environment with gender equality requires education on related matters across society, fair access to resources and providing opportunities.

CSR projects focused on gender equality need to include

  • Education programs on what is meant by gender equality
  • Recognize and value the of the contributions by the women and girls
  • Value that diversity brings into teams, communities, and society in general
  • Empowering effective participation, equal opportunities for leadership at all levels for women
